Biological washing powder in the US?

On the British tv show, ';How Clean Is Your House?'; the two women often use what they call ';biological washing powder.'; It seems to work really well on various things, but I was wondering if this was available in the US and, if so, what is the brand name?Biological washing powder in the US?
I love that show and wondered the same thing myself. A quick search took me to a website for an actual brand. What they are referring to appears to be laundry powder. In Europe, what we call ';organic'; products are sometimes referred to as biologique (French) or biological. This seems to mean that there are no environmentally offensive ingredients and no genetically modified ingredients. These items are also usually approved by vegan and other societies in Europe and the UK, analogous to the way we have the ';USDA Organic'; certified items. One brand of ';biological washing powder'; is Ecover. If you go to Whole Foods or a similar store, you will find an aisle where Ecover and other such brands of cleaning products are available. What you are looking for is the laundry powder, which is known as ';washing powder'; in the UK. I hope that is helpful.Biological washing powder in the US?
They were probably using T.S.P. or Trisodium Phosphate. They sell it in the cleaning and painting department at Home Depot, it's a very powerful cleaner, just be careful that you don't bleach out anything, like carpet or draperies. I paid about 7.50 for a five pound box
We used to call it Oxydol, but it hasn't been a popular product in a few years. BTW, I love those two women. We get the show on BBCAmerica and they're a hoot!
