My Aunt passed away last year and her birthday is coming up. She always made these meatballs for family gatherings and I want to make them to take to our memorial for her.

Either the full recipe or a link to it would be great.Hi. Looking for a meatball recipe made with grape jelly and I think chili powder? Thanks in advance. ~Pam?

Is Ready to Feed Formula different than Powder Formula?

They state they have the same nutritional info, but the ready to feed seems like such a different consistency. It seems thicker and richer. Is it any different? Is Ready to Feed Formula different than Powder Formula?
NO IT'S JUST MORE EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!! I THOUGHT IT LOOKED DIFFERENT ALSOIs Ready to Feed Formula different than Powder Formula?
You know I wondered the same thing when my child was born but actually it is the same.
If your baby is gassy, I wouldn't use the powder. My son started on the ready-to-feed, and at about 3 months we tried the powder. Boy did it do a number on his tummy. It gave him so much gas. After we stopped the powder, it took about 4 days for his tummy to get back to normal. We chucked the powder and went back to ready-to-feed. They were both Similac. (I've heard the concentrated makes babies constipated.)

    Hope that helps.
yes it is diff. thicker ,powder is like water and did not fill my boys up
Nutritionally speaking they are the same. However you should be aware that many babies have a difficult time digesting powder formulas because it tends to have tiny clumps in it no matter how well you mix it. For this reason some ( not all ) babies are gassier and therefore fussier when fed with powder formula. All in all it is a personal and financial preference as to what works out best for you and your baby.
nope they are the same... one is just more expensive and all you are paying extra for is the convinence.
the only difference i know of is ready to feed doesn't have to mixed with water like the powder.
It's really dont different its just already done...save the money and mix the powder and water yourself. really all they have done is prepared it for you...it isnt anymore benefical for your baby.
It is not different. The liquid formula just has liquid in it and the powder formula doesn't. After you add water to the powder formula, it's exactly the same as the liquid formula. Read the expiration date on the container, and make sure that it hasn't expired. Liquid formula is more convenient to use, but powder formula is lighter in weight.
When my daughter was born the hospital gave me some pre-made formula because she was having difficulty breastfeeding (we finally figured it out)

They charge you more for the water they put in it. That is about it.

It does seem to have a different texture but perhaps that is due to the fact it has to have a longer shelf life than the mix-it-yourself stuff. Maybe the pre-made is mixed longer.
Yeah, more expensive!! There are some ready made formulas that are a special blend that does not come in powder form - I can't remember the name of the one my son's pediatrician wanted him to take...but MY GOD that killed my pocket book. At the end of the day I switched to a soy generic and it ended up being fine...

I am suffering from protein deficiency So can I correct it by taking protein powder?

If yes then which is best protein powderI am suffering from protein deficiency So can I correct it by taking protein powder?
Yes. Taking a nutrient in that you are deficient in will help to recover from that deficiency. If a doctor or practitioner told you that you are deficient, I would give them a call and ask how much you should be taking daily to make sure you don't get too little or too much, just to be on the safe side.

As far as brands, any answer given here will just be personal opinion (I can give you my opinion if you'd like). There are many higher quality companies out there that are readily available and well priced... just make sure the company has a good rating with either the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia), as those are the main quality assurance organizations (USP is for the U.S., GMP is for the U.S. and worldwide).

As far as the type of powder, part of that depends on your body and part of it depends on personal preference. What I mean is that Whey protein tends to be one of the easiest to absorb, but some people can't handle Whey (a milk-based protein) as easily as others. However, the biggest difference between all of them as far as what people buy would be the taste of it. Since you would be taking this daily, if you don't at least somewhat like/tolerate the taste, it's going to become a horrible chore to take it every day. I would recommend trying a small bottle of any protein powder that you try so if you don't like the taste, it's going to be the least loss possible.

Good luck and I hope I helped!I am suffering from protein deficiency So can I correct it by taking protein powder?
Dont listen to all this.especially no milk at all.First of all consult a doctor or a good dietian and ask for help each people have different type of body, skin etc remember 5 fingers are not same.
Soybean, milk, fish, meat, etc are good source of protein. The other foods that contain protein can be found on http://nutrient.javalime.com

The healthiest option is to eat whole grains...include it in your diet everyday!

What can I use to make powder eyeshadow glossy? Will vaseline work?

i put water on the brush (but not too much just enough so the brush is moist) then dip the brush in the powder

    and it looks glossyish

if you dont want to ruin the powder pour a lil bit out on a tissue or sumthingWhat can I use to make powder eyeshadow glossy? Will vaseline work?
Yes it would work but be careful. Vaseline will come off in a matter of a few minutes, and it will make your eyes sticky and gooey. I'd also be careful if you wear eyeliner and mascara because vaseline is a natural makeup remover. It'll make eyeliner and mascara run. I'd suggest just paying the extra cost and buy liquid eyeshadow. It'll stay on better and work how you want it to.What can I use to make powder eyeshadow glossy? Will vaseline work?
Don't put vaseline on your eye lids. It never dries and your shadow will crease in a few hours. I would try taking your eye cream and mixing it with your powdered shadow. It will not be greasy and you will get the benefit of your eye treatment. I use this trick all the time and it works wonders. Just make sure you are using just a tiny amount of the cream. I mix it on the top of my hand until it turns into almost a thin paste and then brush it on. It also works better if you use a synthetic brush or a brush designed to be used wet or dry. If you use a regular brush you run the risk of ruining your not so cheap brushes. I was an artist for Bare Escentuals for 5 years and used this trick more times then I can count.
it will work but it will smear like crazy and ruin mascara if you are wearing it. there is this stuff called she-lac you can get at sephora.com that is kindof like a clear glue that dries. i use it to keep glitter from getting in my eyes. it may work better than vasoline. whenever i use it i notice extra shine from it.

  • Can anyone recommend a concealer and powder that will not make my skin break out?

I've been having problems with my make up and was hoping someone has a suggestion. Can anyone recommend a concealer and powder that will not make my skin break out?
....Estee Lauder...Can anyone recommend a concealer and powder that will not make my skin break out?

Glo Minerals is a great make-up line. It is a mineral based make-up which allows the skin to breath. Mineral make up is very hard to compress into a pressed base, and glo minerals does a great job, and provides great coverage with out looking thick. They have many different colors to chose from i think you will be very pleased.
Try Clinique, they make the best ones for problems with your face.
A good makeup brand that deals with acne or pimples is one that produces acne products like Neutrogena. They are hypoallergic which means even sensitive skin types can use them, they are oil free and won't clog your pores. They have a tinted moisturizer, concealers, powders and even a mineral foundation. They are also affordable, you can find them at your local drugstore.
Bare Escentuals!! I used to hate wearing face makeup and all I'd wear was powder but since Bare Escentuals IS powder, I gave it a try and wow. I love it! I use MAC cream concealer to cover any zits (use a brush made for concealer for the BEST results-- you can literally paint over the zit- not around it) and then I put the B.E. on top of that all over and just evens out my entire face without looking like makeup.
I use maybelline everfresh liquid conditioner.

Maybelline Pure range is quite good too. It's made with 50% water instead of pore clogging oils that can cause break outs
use neutrogena healthy skin makeup. it does not have oil in it so it won't make your skin worse than it already is.
You need to get a hypoallergic skin care product. Covergirl is one of the best lines. But if you have problems you can also try Estee Lauder and they have a very good line also.
Try Clinique - it's hypoallergenic and fairly reasonably-priced.

    Hope that helps!
    laura mercier.
Try not wearing any. You're suffocation your skin, let it air out for a week. And wash with a good cleanser. Neutrogena, Clearsil and Clean %26amp; Clear do not work. I've used these before (their face wash) and it always dried up my skin more and gave me more acne. The Equate (Walmart) brand works pretty good. It's a cream cleanser and it's not soapy, it's also oil-free but it still keeps your skin soft. Wash with this once or twice a day and don't put any make up on it. Your skin will clear up and then you won't have a need for foundation anyhow.
    Mac forsure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THE WAY
I love the mary kay stuff!
I recommend Avon. They don't test on animals. But I have super sensitive skin and it doesn't break me out. I can't wear mary kay or even cover girl. The cream to powder is my favorite! or i would recommend merle norman's luxiva (?) its in a black tube and very easy to put on with your fingers. smooths evenly.
There are 2 concealers and powders that I love. Prescriptives is great cause they color match it for you. That way it won't even look like your wearing any. They have it in light, medium and full coverage. Another one that I love is Christian Dior. I like translucent powders. I mix it with a little bit of bronzer to give it a natural glow. Another thing that might make you break out that a lot of people don't realize is the brushes you use to put on your powder or concealer. Some people don't wash them on a regular basis and that makes the bacteria grow and that causes acne. Same goes for sponges. If that's not the case, then it must be the ingredients in the products. I like going to macy's or any store like that and ask for product samples. That way you can try it for free and decide which one works the best for you.
    Try mineral makeup.

    puritycosmetics.co.uk is a good brand.
The key to controlling breakouts is good skin care. Once your skin care regimen is in order then you can experiment with lightweight, oil-free concealers and powders. I recommend Mary Kay loose or pressed powders and concealers. They're lightweight, breathable, don't clog pores, and are designed to work with your skincare, not just to be makeup.
my body shop concealer or clinique one both easy to just brush it on and easy to blend. in a reasonable price too

I've never heard of a bleach powder called Blue Bleach Powder. You shouldn't mix bleach powder w/ peroxide, it's suppose to be mixed w/ developer. And depending on what color your hair is now %26amp; what color you want your hair to be depends on what level of developer you should use. Also with bleach you need to have a head dryer - most bleach products will not lift properly without being heated.

How to make potato pancakes from powder mashed potatoes?

    Instant Potato Pancakes

Makes 6 servings, 2 patties per serving.

We owe much to the creative mind that cooked up the first potato pancake. If you've never sampled these crispy treats, you're in for a nice surprise. This modern recipe is doubly easy because the potatoes are all ready prepared for you.

    Instant mashed potato flakes or

granules to make 3 cups prepared potatoes

4 oz. (about 1 cup) frozen potatoes O'Brien,

    thawed and well-drained

    3 tbsp. flour

4 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

    1 green onion, sliced

    1 egg, slightly beaten

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Cornmeal

Prepare potato flakes as package directs to make 3 cups, omitting salt and decreasing liquid by 1/2 cup. Cool. Combine mashed and O'Brien potatoes, flour, bacon, onion, egg, salt and pepper. Mix to blend thoroughly. Form into 12 patties, about 1/4 cup each. Coat lightly with cornmeal. Fry patties in lightly oiled non-stick skillet over medium heat until golden, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm with applesauce. How to make potato pancakes from powder mashed potatoes?
    Here you go

    OLD TIME POTATO PANCAKES

Instant mashed potato flakes to make 1 c. mashed potatoes

1 1/2 tsp. instant minced onion

1 lb. frozen hash brown potato squares, thawed

    1 egg

    2 tbsp. flour

    1 tsp. baking powder

    1 1/2 tsp. salt

    1/8 tsp. pepper

    1 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese

    Applesauce

In a large bowl mix potato flakes and instant minced onion. Prepare mashed potatoes following package directions except omit salt and pepper and substitute boiling water for milk. With fork or fingers, separate hash brown potato shreds and blend into mashed potatoes.

In small bowl, whisk egg with remaining ingredients except cheese and applesauce. Stir into potato mixture. Brown 1/4 cup portions in lightly greased skillet until golden on both sides, turning once. Top with shredded cheese; cover skillet to melt cheese. Serve with warm applesauce. (Makes 1 dozen pancakes.)How to make potato pancakes from powder mashed potatoes?
    INGREDIENTS

2 cups cold mashed potatoes (prepared with milk and butter)

    1 egg, lightly beaten

    1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil

    DIRECTIONS

Combine the first four ingredients; mix well. In a small skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add potato mixture; press with a spatula to flatten evenly. Cover and cook for 8 minutes or until bottom is crispy. Invert onto a serving plate.
You should never do that! Buy some potatoes and grate them by hand. You will never have any potato pancakes as good as the ones you hand grate. Just make sure to squeeze the liquid out real good. Add some grated onion, a little flour and some egg. Fry'em up, and serve them with sour cream and caviar with a bottle of champagne. Yum!
Thank you ';top contributors'; but where I come from there's no such thing as potato pancakes from instant. You can stop googling for recipes. That's illegal. Fact!

Get real potatos and make them.

Top contributors always give the worst advice. Anyone can do a search . Get yourself some potatos darlin' and forget about the instant crap.
It's so easy to make them out of real potatoes....why would you do this? Eck.
Add grated cheddar cheese, and chopped green onion, egg, salt, pepper.

Mix everything, and fry them up.

    Top with homemade applesause.

(Rachael Ray, on Food Network, though she doesn't use Instant, but real potatoes; instant won't be quite as good, but the onion and cheese give it a lot of flavor.)

  • Where to find a thick makeup powder?

Because all the drugstore bought average and even mineral loose powders and pressed do not cover up some blemishes well enough. So where could i find a good, thick powder that covers everything? I dont want to add foundation to my face under the powder bc it breaks my face out and causes some redness after a week or so.Where to find a thick makeup powder?
I use Neutrogena's MicroClear foundation. It unclogs pores while its on your face, and it covers everything! You might need a little concealer before you put it on though.Where to find a thick makeup powder?
    Have you tried concealer ?

Use a little bit of concealer on your blemishes only, then follow with your powder.

If you don't have concealer, use a dab of foundation only where you need it.
    Try Eve Pearl or MAC

How do I apply foundation and powder?

Don't use your hands to apply!!! It will go on streaky and will add oil to your face. I apply mine with a small, round powder brush. it takes some getting used to, but it makes it go on so smooth and light. I still get good coverage, but there is no blotchiness and the finish looks allmost powdery. Trust me, you will love it, but do practice a little before you decide. Then, I use a big powder brush to just dust a bit of powder over my whole face. How do I apply foundation and powder?
dot the foundation on the cheeks nose and chin and blend with your fingers then take a big powder brush and lightly dust it over your face. never use a lot of powder!!!!How do I apply foundation and powder?
First find a foundation that matches your skin you dont want 2 look orangy. (either stick or liquid is fine)

Place the foundation under your eyes and where ever needed on face.

Use your finger to blot the foundation under your eyes.

Grab a make up sponge and dip it in water (take out excess water out of sponge)and rub face to smooth in the foundation.

If you are applying eyeshadow then appy your face powder under your eyes to catch any fallen eyeshadow

Then sweep the rest of the powder with a powder brush.

    Hoped I helped :)
spread out a LITTLE bit of liquid foundation around your cheeks forhead and chin (or anywehre you think you need it) make sure you spread it out good. then top it off with a powdered bronzor.

just be careful not to use a lot of liquid foundation cause it clogs your pores.

    good luck!
first find you colour of make up. Start from the top of your forehead and work it downwards with a sponge. Do not use dots! Can be seen with a camera etc.professional
Hi, the best way to apply foundation is to use a brush (a foundation brush), this will ensure even coverage and it won't sit in lines and open pores, it also will give an 'airbrush' finish effect, the same with the powder, use a powder brush, and dust lightly over the face, regardless of age powder can make skin look sallow and sit in places it shouldnt, avoid putting foundation and powder around the eyes as this will make your eyes look heavy, if you have dark circles around the eyes, use a concealer, the best foundation is MAC by far. Drink plenty of water to get great hydrated skin and gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells. never use to much foundation or powder though!Rhianna xxxxx
first of all, work on a nice, clean and moisturized face. always use a concealer first before the foundation as this helps to get a even tone to the skin and helps the concealer to be more effective, especially around the eyes, sides of the nose and lips, next, dot the foundation on the cheeks, chin, nose, forehead and using a foundation wedge or brush blend it evenly in the direction of facial hair growth, remember 'little is more' so dont use too much of foundation, if you feel foundation used is little excess blot it with a blotting paper or tissue, then using a powder brush dust a little quantity of loose powder, again in the hair growth direction, never use too much. you could use a little concealer or foundation on your lips after lip balm as this will even out lip color and bring out the real lipstick color effect and also ensures that it lasts longer.
foundation: use the faoundation is right for you, doen't use the ones your friends use ,because every skin is differnet. so i would try one kind of foundation, a month.then choose the one you really love ,too aplly, use a dap (a small amount) of foundation, and and rub smoothly every where don't do ruffly ,and make sure you don't put a lot, then if you have those oliy parts on your skin, take a big brush and make sure the foundation is dry ,and then take a powder that matches your skin tone, and then dap ,like your make poka dots on your face and then rub gently ,and then make sure you read the directions on foundation, some of them you can't expose to sunlight.

powder: use the powder closest to your skin tone because you want your face to look tottlay natural, why? you ask well by putting a way light color,it would seem weird to have light skin on your face and dark skin shade on your neck and arms.so the ntake the powder and ,don't put anything on yet,put a small amount of lotion on your skin and rub smoothly, and make sure its healthy lotion! then take the powder and a big brush and dap away like a poka dot all over your face and take the brush and gently run it around your face ,to make the powder spread throughly!(the lotion, will act like a gle,and make the powder stick! and it won't look heavy if you don't put a whole lot!
First of all if you want a nice clean application Do not use your fingers to apply foundation because the oil on the hands gets on the face and makes your makeup not last longer ,so what you need to do is purchase some nice foundation wedges or sponges and apply that to your face and for powder a good powder brush is always works for an effiecent application .

And their is no need to buy a new powder brush you can always rinse it out with shampoo and it makes it nice and soft just like the day you purchased it hope this helps! I kind of disagree on the comment above me I find that Covergirl is the best foundation because it glides on smoothly and it doesn't feel cakey on your skin its nice and natural.

Always dot your concealer on the bridge of your nose and below the eyes and make sure to blend and it should be one shade color lighter than your skin that way you don't notice the lack of sleep you have .Their are many different colors but when it comes to blemishes make sure its more of a yellowish light tint and green yes green covers up zits really well.Apply your powder in Upward motion.Do to blush to it in circular motions.

What's in the white crystal powder packet you get with cut flowers to keep them fresh?

The floral preservative provides flowers with water and food and contains a disinfectant to prevent bacteria from growing.

The key functions of a fresh flower food are:

    - Provides food in the form of sugars to keep the flowers alive. Just like ourselves, flowers use carbohydrates as an energy source.

    - Helps lower the pH, which keeps the water/food conducting system in flowers working at maximum efficiency.

The packet of powder that comes with fresh flowers is basically just sugar. There is no evidence that this powder keeps flowers any fresher. It is supposed to kept the bacteria count in the water low.

Also, I heard that instead of the florist floral life extender packet, an aspirin, (not ibuprofen), works just a well. Aspirin seems to lengthen the life of the flowers. Just be sure to snip a bit off the ends of the flowers each day. The stems seal themselves, reducing the water flow to the flowers. What's in the white crystal powder packet you get with cut flowers to keep them fresh?
It's probably Floralife or something similiar. Contains a sugar, an acidifier and a class of compounds called stem unpluggers so the stem will draw the water.

I am looking for kitchen canisters. 4 in total, flour, baking soda, baking powder and sugar....?

I need inexpensive but cute. I want ones that say what each one is like a label. Anyone know where to find these?! =)I am looking for kitchen canisters. 4 in total, flour, baking soda, baking powder and sugar....?
Why not make your own? You can find clear and colored apothecary jars, sometimes at the dollar stores, and just make a cute label to glue on or tie to a pretty ribbon around the neck. I even use old candle jars with the lids for different things in the kitchen and around the house. Very cheap...very good looking.I am looking for kitchen canisters. 4 in total, flour, baking soda, baking powder and sugar....?
Good Luck---I've been around awhile, and I have NEVER seen canisters labeled for ';baking soda'; and ';baking powder';....generally those are things people keep in the cupboard....so I'm guessing your best bet will be to label them yourself, and get some kind of glass paint from a craft store to do it...

Rarely do I see canister sets labeled at all, with names of what you're 'supposed' to keep in there..I guess they figure everyone keeps something different...Like for me, keeping flour %26amp; sugar on the counter in a canister set attracts ants in the summer, so I keep them in plastic containers with tightly sealable lids in the cupboard, and my canisters have rice, beans and tea in them...

You might be able to find the labeled sets in a thrift store, I think that labeling thing was more common for goods produced awhile ago, but like I said, still doubt you'll find it saying 'baking soda %26amp; powder.'; Just find a set that matches your kitchen, and like I said, paint the words on yourself with paint for glass or ceramics, whatever the canisters are made of...some paint comes in a bottle where you can do the words without a paintbrush, just squeeze the paint out as you're writing....If you do paint on them, just hand wash them in cool water when you need to wash them (not in dishwasher or with hot water) and don't use a scrubber over the area where you painted.

    Good Luck!
    Try looking in Ikea .
Wal-Mart has a set that says

    Flour, Sugar, Coffee, Tea...

I've never seen ones that say what you are looking for though,
Any dollar store, wal-mart, target ,k-mart, even the grocery store.

Where can i buy the propel powder packets in bulk supply?

trying to save money. i currently buy them at walmart a 10 pack for 2.90 each. i drink quite a few a day so if anyone could help its be greatWhere can i buy the propel powder packets in bulk supply?
Stuff is usually a lot cheaper at xpect discounts. I've never personally checked the price of propel powder, but I know that their other products are a lot cheaper than walmart.

Also check in costco. They sell everything in bulk there and are usually well priced. Good luck.

  • What measurement is 45 grams of powder?

Would that be half a cup for instance? Just need to know what measuring tool I can utilize to measure out my protein. Thank You.What measurement is 45 grams of powder?
    45 grams =about 1 1/2 ounces

1 Tablespoon= about 15 gramsWhat measurement is 45 grams of powder?
It depends how heavy the powder is.
There are two conversions for grams to ounces. In Avoirdupois weight, there are slightly more than 28 grams in an ounce. So you are talking about a smidgeon over two ounces. Avoirdupois is the common measurement for weights in most English speaking countries, and covers pretty well everything except precious metals and medicines. In Troy weight, an ounce is 31 grams. So 45 grams would be about an ounce and a half. So you have to know which measuring system the 45 grams are in. As far as measuring out your protein, the precise measurement won't be that critical, so you could probably average it out at two ounces.

Half a cup would be away too much!
    1.58 Oz.

Is it TRUE that Baby Powder can give you cancer?

I heard this a long time ago I was just wanting to know if it's trueIs it TRUE that Baby Powder can give you cancer?
    Your answer is here:

http://www.preventcancer.com/consumers/c鈥?/a>Is it TRUE that Baby Powder can give you cancer?
I have heard that when applying to baby during a diaper change to put it in your hand 1st not dump it straight out onto baby so that the baby doesn't inhale the powder dust. I didn't think the dust could cause cancer though but maybe that is why. I always bought the cornstarch though since it's more natural.
There are some studies suggesting a link between baby powder with talc and ovarian cancer. The jury is still out.

Baby powder with cornstarch is considered a safe alternative.
i dont think so girl, sop playin, i have heard before though that we are born and start dying the minute we are born.........
    I have never heard this.

I usually use a pretty cheap powder. I really like No17 from Boots and its only 拢3.49. I use Neutral but you can get it in different shades. Rimmel also does a good powder range, with lots of darker shades if thats what you are wanting and its around 拢3 or 拢4 also. I bought a clinique powder a while back, and to be honest i didnt really notice a big difference between it and the No17 one i had been using, so i'd recommend it.

Does Polyethylene Glycol 3350 NF powder cause sleeping problems?

I've been taking this medicine for over a week and the first day i took it i had trouble sleeping and i've had trouble sleeping since. There was one day that i forgot to take the medicine but i still had trouble sleeping. It takes me so long to fall asleep and i usually get about 3 or 4 hours of sleep each night. I take 17 grams of Polyethylene Glycol every night at around 5pm. Also, I'm a 15 year old female. I'm aalso taking Prevacid 30mg for acid reflux and hypercare deoderant for hyperhidrosis.Does Polyethylene Glycol 3350 NF powder cause sleeping problems?
I found one study that mentioned insomnia as a side effect in the elderly. What really matters though is how it affects you. Getting that little sleep will put you in a bad way, so it's worth stopping the med for a few nights. Lots of things act as stimulants -- some of us have more problems than others -- and they can cause insomnia until they clear the body; it's possible that you're having this sort of reaction to the PG. Have you spoken with your health care provider about this?

Given your collection of symptoms, I'm wondering if a good nutritionist might be able to help. Write to me back-channel if you like.

What is a good protein powder?

I want to start eating with adding protein powder. What is a good one? What is a good protein powder?
It really depends on your goals and when you are eating your protein powder. Pre and Post workout a good protein is a Whey protein. Before you go to bed a good protein is a blended protein of Whey, Egg Albumin, a Casein.

For general purposes most people just use a whey protein because it is cheaper and more readily available.

I'm a Wiccan who practices magic...there is no such thing, I'm sorry. After years of study, you can learn to manipulate the energies around you to affect an outcome, but there is no such thing as a quick fix like ';magic powder, fairy dust, or pixie dust';. Even if there were, they would belong to the fairies and pixies, so we couldn't make them anyway. lol Seriously, I don't know what you are wanting them for, but I assure you...the only way to create change is to be open to it. Read books by Scott Cunningham or DJ Conway. They will help you understand. Look into crystals if you want to have something powerful to carry with you. You can make chocolate chips with just agave nectar and cocoa powder, but you will need a food dehydrator. If you have that, email me and I can tell you how to do it. They won't be ready by tomorrow though-they are quite tedious to make, and it takes a couple of days for them to dehydrate. For the cookies you need tomorrow, why not just eliminate the chocolate chips, add a little cocoa to the cookie dough, and use some nuts.

Curry powder is a mixture of spices of widely varying composition developed by the British during their colonial rule of India as a means of approximating the taste of Indian cuisine at home.

Most recipes and producers of curry powder usually include coriander, turmeric, cumin, and fenugreek in their blends. Depending on the recipe, additional ingredients such as ginger, garlic, fennel seed, clove, mustard seed, green cardamom, black cardamom, nutmeg, red pepper, cinnamon and black pepper may also be added.

It is also the name given to a different mixture of spices that include curry leaves, which is used in South and Eastern Indian cuisine.

I use Bare Minerals (aka Bare Essentials). My skin is kind of combination, dry in morning, oily in the afternoon. As long as you apply it only like in the morning, if not you'll get a cake-y look. I like it and it doesn't break my skin out. Also, try Clean %26amp; Clear oil blotting sheets to take away the shine throughout the day.

Not that long if you're baking (I've never smoked before)...if you look at the package it usually says how long to bake each pound. It should be done in under an hour. When in doubt get a thermometer, if the internal temp is enough (170 degrees I think) then it's done.

  • If i wear mineral foundation, and then put on mineral translucent powder, wont that take off my foundation?

and does the minderal foundation actually stay on?

i reallly would love to switch to something better for my skin.If i wear mineral foundation, and then put on mineral translucent powder, wont that take off my foundation?
    The mineral foundation stays on,

And the best thing about it (compared to liquid) is that it doesn't melt off your face!

When I have liquid foundation on for a lon time, after like 5-6 hours my face looks kinda nasty from foundation residue,

But when I wear mineral, it's not the case, which I love.

And it stays on, in fact, it will help it stay on!

That's because the powder keeps shine / oil away, and the oil won't be able to make your makeup come off if there is no oil, right? :)

It is better for your skin, in my opinion, because I don't think it clogs your pores as much or makes you break out or look cakey. (But if you put too much on you might look a bit dry -skinned)

Just make sure you don't believe that everything about mineral concealer is good, ahah :)If i wear mineral foundation, and then put on mineral translucent powder, wont that take off my foundation?
I assume you're using the powder foundation, in which case you don't need powder. If you're using the liquid the powder won't take off your foundation, in fact it will do the opposite!

You can't get much better for your skin than mineral foundation, but if you're looking for something anti ageing try F.A.C.E. Colorscience Foudation that contains retinol and vitamin A

Is it bad for baby's skin to use baby oil & powder for diaper changes? What do you use?

I have been a doctor for 15 years and have been asked this question a million times. Is it bad for the baby? NO. Is to good for the baby? No evidence says otherwise.

It is best that you let the first layer of your babies skin flake off (the first 3 weeks after birth.) After that there is nothing wrong with using baby oil/lotion.

Be VERY careful with baby powder....the particles of the powder are very small and if gotten into you baby鈥檚 lungs, this could cause coughing and in severe inhalation even asthma.

I have 4 children and we always used Johnson's baby lotion on them after the 1-month mark. If they had a diaper rash.....good old Desitin is the best bet. Hope this helps! Is it bad for baby's skin to use baby oil %26amp; powder for diaper changes? What do you use?
I use petrolium jelly. Have yet to get a single rash!!!Is it bad for baby's skin to use baby oil %26amp; powder for diaper changes? What do you use?
generally i didnt use anything on my daughters bum. im going on baby number 2 and i think ill stick with what i did for my first. just a clean bum, and if she had a rash forming i just used vasaline on her skin and powder in the diaper. the powder soaked up extra wetness while the vasaline protected from farther irritasion.
They say that baby powder is, but as long as you dont cake it on and it goes up into their nose you will be fine. I never used that during the winter though. I would use that is the summer to help with heat rashes. As for the oil, I would not use that as a barrier on their bottom. If you want something cheap that works wonders try using vaseline. It keeps the bottom smooth, and the pee and poo from getting through. Just be sure that when you change the diaper you get in every nook and cranny down there or nothing will help. Good luck hun :)
No it is not harmful to babys skin to use baby oil. It moisturizes their skin. I use it for infant massage on my daughters feet, legs and arms. She loves it. I've used it to soothe chapped skin on her bum too. I was told not to use powder by my pediatricin because the baby often times inhales it and it's not good for their lungs. I don't really think it's too big of a problem but I decided to just use liquid powder instead because it made less of a mess.
    I've never heard that before.
I don't use anything. If it looks like she has a rash then I use special cream for baby rashes. I haven't had a problem yet...just wipe your babe down well.
I never used either. Instead spend your money on good wipes and diapers. I use huggies wipes and pampers swaddlers. I change the babies asap and have never had to deal with diaper rashes.
    It is not necessary.

I don't use anything and only diaper rash cream when necessary.

    You could be diabetic .

Just saw a recipe for chili con carne, it had cocoa powder as 1 of the ingredients?

did anyone else ever hear of that.Just saw a recipe for chili con carne, it had cocoa powder as 1 of the ingredients?
It's the correct way to make Chili. A lot of Mexican dishes have cocoa powder in. We tend to think of cocoa as sweet but it's only because we use it that way. The powder on it's own is quite bitter and it enhances the flavour of the dishes, especially those with peppers in.

Some people use dark chocolate instead of cocoa!

Try it it's Delicious!Just saw a recipe for chili con carne, it had cocoa powder as 1 of the ingredients?
Yes - it is really good!
I have. It's like a mole sauce. Oddly enough, you don't taste the chocolate, it's like a flavor enhancer.

Trust me, I thought it was gross at first too.
ya i have, spanish dishes use cocoa powder commonly since cocoa is native =)
It's not unheard of actually. Chilli peppers and chocolate go very well together in cooking. I once had chocolate chilli chicken in Pakistan, and it was delicious!
I have a friend who melts chocolate into her chilli. I personally find it revolting but each to their own.

Chocolate was first consumed as a drink containing chilli. (back in the aztec ish times)
Sure. Cocoa powder isn't sweet at all. In fact, it's bitter. Lots of Mexican dishes use unsweetened chocolate.
So BB, are you thinking of any new recipes,. this sounds delish!!
No, but I'm not surprised. Another Mexician dish, Chicken Mole has cocoa in it. A Mole sauce always has cocoa. Why not try the recipe? Cocoa is not sweet like chocolate, but my guess is is that it would add complexity of flavor.
yes, i have heard this, in fact we have used it regularly as an ingredient

cocoa powder is not sweet, it is used as a thickener

it's not the same as sprinkling grated chocolate on your chili con carne!

in fact in the film chocolat they mention cocoa being used by the (I think) Aztecs in their savoury dishes
iv seen it a few times in recipes,

    but a tip iv discovered

if you like spicy food, but dont like the burning sensation

    after youv ate

    eat a bit of chocolate

cancels out the nippy burning sensation
Yep, been using it for years. The change is more subtle than you might think.
its actually widely used in mexican dishes and south western cuisine...Skyline Chili uses it in their chili sauce actually
Yep, I had some chili at a cookoff and tried it in my own recipe. Adds body to the chili.
    Of course!
cocoa is commanly used in Mexican cooking. Mole is a sauce made with chili peppers and cocoa.
I always add a square of good quality chocolate to any tomato based sauce, chili, bolegnese etc...sounds crazy but it makes a difference. Most chefs reccomend it.
    yes
