Chocolate sauce

3/4 cup evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, and salt. Stir to mix and to eliminate lumps.

Pour in evaporated milk and corn syrup and bring to a boil over medium heat; boil for 2-4 minutes or until it starts to thicken up, remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter. Is there a way to make (thick) chocolate sauce using cocoa powder and cornstarch, but NO actual chocolate?
Yes . but you will need to add sugar, %26amp; there's not much point as it will taste crap!

Pete
in a sauce pan (not too small) put a cup or more of white sugar then add cocoa powder a few large table spoons now add a little bit of milk and mix it together do it on the dry side to mix the sugar and cocoa together if you add to much milk you cocoa Will be lumpy and not mix well, now add a bit more milk and turn on heat. Heat slowly until you reach a boil add a teaspoon of vanilla and boil at a slow roll for awhile. check if done with a cold cup of water. drip with a spoon drops of chocolate syrup into the water when it is thick in the bottom of the cup it should be done. sorry I never measured I was taught this method by my mother.
