Is Ready to Feed Formula different than Powder Formula?

They state they have the same nutritional info, but the ready to feed seems like such a different consistency. It seems thicker and richer. Is it any different? Is Ready to Feed Formula different than Powder Formula?
NO IT'S JUST MORE EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!! I THOUGHT IT LOOKED DIFFERENT ALSOIs Ready to Feed Formula different than Powder Formula?
You know I wondered the same thing when my child was born but actually it is the same.
If your baby is gassy, I wouldn't use the powder. My son started on the ready-to-feed, and at about 3 months we tried the powder. Boy did it do a number on his tummy. It gave him so much gas. After we stopped the powder, it took about 4 days for his tummy to get back to normal. We chucked the powder and went back to ready-to-feed. They were both Similac. (I've heard the concentrated makes babies constipated.)

    Hope that helps.
yes it is diff. thicker ,powder is like water and did not fill my boys up
Nutritionally speaking they are the same. However you should be aware that many babies have a difficult time digesting powder formulas because it tends to have tiny clumps in it no matter how well you mix it. For this reason some ( not all ) babies are gassier and therefore fussier when fed with powder formula. All in all it is a personal and financial preference as to what works out best for you and your baby.
nope they are the same... one is just more expensive and all you are paying extra for is the convinence.
the only difference i know of is ready to feed doesn't have to mixed with water like the powder.
It's really dont different its just already done...save the money and mix the powder and water yourself. really all they have done is prepared it for you...it isnt anymore benefical for your baby.
It is not different. The liquid formula just has liquid in it and the powder formula doesn't. After you add water to the powder formula, it's exactly the same as the liquid formula. Read the expiration date on the container, and make sure that it hasn't expired. Liquid formula is more convenient to use, but powder formula is lighter in weight.
When my daughter was born the hospital gave me some pre-made formula because she was having difficulty breastfeeding (we finally figured it out)

They charge you more for the water they put in it. That is about it.

It does seem to have a different texture but perhaps that is due to the fact it has to have a longer shelf life than the mix-it-yourself stuff. Maybe the pre-made is mixed longer.
Yeah, more expensive!! There are some ready made formulas that are a special blend that does not come in powder form - I can't remember the name of the one my son's pediatrician wanted him to take...but MY GOD that killed my pocket book. At the end of the day I switched to a soy generic and it ended up being fine...

I am suffering from protein deficiency So can I correct it by taking protein powder?

If yes then which is best protein powderI am suffering from protein deficiency So can I correct it by taking protein powder?
Yes. Taking a nutrient in that you are deficient in will help to recover from that deficiency. If a doctor or practitioner told you that you are deficient, I would give them a call and ask how much you should be taking daily to make sure you don't get too little or too much, just to be on the safe side.

As far as brands, any answer given here will just be personal opinion (I can give you my opinion if you'd like). There are many higher quality companies out there that are readily available and well priced... just make sure the company has a good rating with either the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia), as those are the main quality assurance organizations (USP is for the U.S., GMP is for the U.S. and worldwide).

As far as the type of powder, part of that depends on your body and part of it depends on personal preference. What I mean is that Whey protein tends to be one of the easiest to absorb, but some people can't handle Whey (a milk-based protein) as easily as others. However, the biggest difference between all of them as far as what people buy would be the taste of it. Since you would be taking this daily, if you don't at least somewhat like/tolerate the taste, it's going to become a horrible chore to take it every day. I would recommend trying a small bottle of any protein powder that you try so if you don't like the taste, it's going to be the least loss possible.

Good luck and I hope I helped!I am suffering from protein deficiency So can I correct it by taking protein powder?
Dont listen to all this.especially no milk at all.First of all consult a doctor or a good dietian and ask for help each people have different type of body, skin etc remember 5 fingers are not same.
Soybean, milk, fish, meat, etc are good source of protein. The other foods that contain protein can be found on http://nutrient.javalime.com
    SOYA IS THE BEST
    Eat some meat!
The healthiest option is to eat whole grains...include it in your diet everyday!

What can I use to make powder eyeshadow glossy? Will vaseline work?

i put water on the brush (but not too much just enough so the brush is moist) then dip the brush in the powder

    and it looks glossyish

if you dont want to ruin the powder pour a lil bit out on a tissue or sumthingWhat can I use to make powder eyeshadow glossy? Will vaseline work?
Yes it would work but be careful. Vaseline will come off in a matter of a few minutes, and it will make your eyes sticky and gooey. I'd also be careful if you wear eyeliner and mascara because vaseline is a natural makeup remover. It'll make eyeliner and mascara run. I'd suggest just paying the extra cost and buy liquid eyeshadow. It'll stay on better and work how you want it to.What can I use to make powder eyeshadow glossy? Will vaseline work?
Don't put vaseline on your eye lids. It never dries and your shadow will crease in a few hours. I would try taking your eye cream and mixing it with your powdered shadow. It will not be greasy and you will get the benefit of your eye treatment. I use this trick all the time and it works wonders. Just make sure you are using just a tiny amount of the cream. I mix it on the top of my hand until it turns into almost a thin paste and then brush it on. It also works better if you use a synthetic brush or a brush designed to be used wet or dry. If you use a regular brush you run the risk of ruining your not so cheap brushes. I was an artist for Bare Escentuals for 5 years and used this trick more times then I can count.
it will work but it will smear like crazy and ruin mascara if you are wearing it. there is this stuff called she-lac you can get at sephora.com that is kindof like a clear glue that dries. i use it to keep glitter from getting in my eyes. it may work better than vasoline. whenever i use it i notice extra shine from it.

  • Can anyone recommend a concealer and powder that will not make my skin break out?

I've been having problems with my make up and was hoping someone has a suggestion. Can anyone recommend a concealer and powder that will not make my skin break out?
....Estee Lauder...Can anyone recommend a concealer and powder that will not make my skin break out?
    Mary-kay 2in1
Glo Minerals is a great make-up line. It is a mineral based make-up which allows the skin to breath. Mineral make up is very hard to compress into a pressed base, and glo minerals does a great job, and provides great coverage with out looking thick. They have many different colors to chose from i think you will be very pleased.
Try Clinique, they make the best ones for problems with your face.
A good makeup brand that deals with acne or pimples is one that produces acne products like Neutrogena. They are hypoallergic which means even sensitive skin types can use them, they are oil free and won't clog your pores. They have a tinted moisturizer, concealers, powders and even a mineral foundation. They are also affordable, you can find them at your local drugstore.
Bare Escentuals!! I used to hate wearing face makeup and all I'd wear was powder but since Bare Escentuals IS powder, I gave it a try and wow. I love it! I use MAC cream concealer to cover any zits (use a brush made for concealer for the BEST results-- you can literally paint over the zit- not around it) and then I put the B.E. on top of that all over and just evens out my entire face without looking like makeup.
I use maybelline everfresh liquid conditioner.

Maybelline Pure range is quite good too. It's made with 50% water instead of pore clogging oils that can cause break outs
use neutrogena healthy skin makeup. it does not have oil in it so it won't make your skin worse than it already is.
You need to get a hypoallergic skin care product. Covergirl is one of the best lines. But if you have problems you can also try Estee Lauder and they have a very good line also.
Try Clinique - it's hypoallergenic and fairly reasonably-priced.

    Hope that helps!
    laura mercier.
Try not wearing any. You're suffocation your skin, let it air out for a week. And wash with a good cleanser. Neutrogena, Clearsil and Clean %26amp; Clear do not work. I've used these before (their face wash) and it always dried up my skin more and gave me more acne. The Equate (Walmart) brand works pretty good. It's a cream cleanser and it's not soapy, it's also oil-free but it still keeps your skin soft. Wash with this once or twice a day and don't put any make up on it. Your skin will clear up and then you won't have a need for foundation anyhow.
    Mac forsure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THE WAY
I love the mary kay stuff!
I recommend Avon. They don't test on animals. But I have super sensitive skin and it doesn't break me out. I can't wear mary kay or even cover girl. The cream to powder is my favorite! or i would recommend merle norman's luxiva (?) its in a black tube and very easy to put on with your fingers. smooths evenly.
There are 2 concealers and powders that I love. Prescriptives is great cause they color match it for you. That way it won't even look like your wearing any. They have it in light, medium and full coverage. Another one that I love is Christian Dior. I like translucent powders. I mix it with a little bit of bronzer to give it a natural glow. Another thing that might make you break out that a lot of people don't realize is the brushes you use to put on your powder or concealer. Some people don't wash them on a regular basis and that makes the bacteria grow and that causes acne. Same goes for sponges. If that's not the case, then it must be the ingredients in the products. I like going to macy's or any store like that and ask for product samples. That way you can try it for free and decide which one works the best for you.
    Try mineral makeup.

    puritycosmetics.co.uk is a good brand.
The key to controlling breakouts is good skin care. Once your skin care regimen is in order then you can experiment with lightweight, oil-free concealers and powders. I recommend Mary Kay loose or pressed powders and concealers. They're lightweight, breathable, don't clog pores, and are designed to work with your skincare, not just to be makeup.
my body shop concealer or clinique one both easy to just brush it on and easy to blend. in a reasonable price too
